Pilates for Pregnancy

Building Length, Strength and Power -
Before, During and Beyond Pregnancy

Kathleen Levy is certified in Stott Pilates Mat, Reformer, CCB and Prenatal Pilates

PRENATAL PILATES is a specialized workout for pregnancy that helps women prepare for childbirth and ease recovery. Exercises strengthen core birthing muscles of the transverse abdominals and pelvic floor. Prenatal Pilates facilitates enhanced breathing, optimizes pelvic alignment and abdominal control, and enhances pregnancy posture to reduce lower back strain.

POSTNATAL PILATES is a specialized workout for the postpartum period that helps new moms regain strength in their pelvic floor, alignment in their spine and shape and tone in their abdominal muscles. Pilates after birth has been shown to effectively reduce pelvic and anal incontinence. Excercises are performed safely on a mat and are the perfect transition to regular Pilates Matwork classes.
